Ever since I was a little kid my dad taught me to never leave anti freeze on the ground when pouring it into your car. I would always ask him why? He told me that it would hurt animals that drank the extra that was spilled. He said that it tasted good, but was deadly to those animals or humans that drank the Anti Freeze. If your a human and drink it some of the side effects could be diarrhea or vomiting. If you continue to drink it you could become very paranoid and start seeing things.

With cats and animals the taste of the anti-freeze tastes good and they love to drink it. If a animal does drink it then in the kidneys crystals will form which would be deadly to the animal. One way to combat the drinking of anti freeze would be to add something to make the fluid taste bad or smell bad which would help keep animals and humans from drinking it.
