Micro-Organisms
Microbes can also produce digestive enzymes that attack and kill undesirable fungal pathogens. In addition, they will compete for space, nutrients and water, leaving less room for bacteria that could potentially harm the plant. This results in plants with fewer diseases and better establishment of seedlings. When applied to foliage, the kelp in AGGRAND Natural Fertilizer
induces a systemic acquired resistance in plants that results in enhance photosynthesis.
Bloodmeal provides additional nitrogen and organic matter for plant cell and microbial growth, leading to the creation of humus.
Sulfate of Potash from the Great Salt Lake in Utah provides more sulfur and potassium for improved fruit and seed quality and better cell-wall and stalk strength. This results in reduced susceptibility to insect attack, drought and disease.
Chelation Agents help plants absorb nutrients and provide an extra source of carbon to help stimulate microbial activity, increasing the effectiveness of the fertilizer.
Sulfur Levels
Proper sulfer levels provide high levels of protein in seed crops, forages and legumes. In addition, flour quality and vegetable flavor are enhanced when there are adequate sulfur levels in the soil. Fish emulsions used in the formulation of AGGRAND Natural Fertilizer
contain almost 2 percent sulfur, resulting in greater yields of higher-quality fruits and vegetables.
While fish emulsion are the basis of AGGRAND Natural Fertilizer, there are many more premium ingredients necessary to complete its formulation. Kelp Extract gathered from the north Atlantic coast helps feed beneficial micro-organisms that produce plant growth stimulants (hormones such as auxins and cytokinins) that result in increased root and shoot growth.
High Nitrogen Content
Increased nitrogen levels in the soil results in increased soil microbial populations and increased nutrient uptake in crops. Fish hydrolysates have lower nitrogen levels than fish emulsions do because hydrolysates use only a small amount of the fleshy part of the fish.
AGGRAND Natural Fertilizer
features fish emulsions that are heated (not boiled) and condensed to 50 percent solids. This results in a finished product with the highest level of organic nitrogen possible (5 percent).
Superior Formulation
AGGRAND Natural Fertilizer
(NOF) is formulated from fish emulsions from a single species of fish: the menhaden. Caught in the coastal waters of Virginia and the Gulf of Mexico, menhaden are not edible, but are commercially important for their high oil content.
The fish-hydrolysate process is cold, which allows the end-product to putrefy more rapidly and requires more acid for pH stabilization. Oftentimes, fish hydrolysate manufacturers add more phosphoric acid than necessary based on the desire to increase the phosphorus analysis rather than decreasing the pH to stabilize the product. Fish emulsions used in AGGRAND Natural Fertilizer contain only enough sulfuric acid to stabilize the product at pH 3.8- 4.0. The process is strictly controlled and monitored to ensure maximum quality.
Based Fertilizers
The fish in fish-based natural fertilizers
is generally obtained in one of two forms: condensed fish solubles (CFS) or enzymatically digested fish (EDF). CFS-based ingredients, or emulsions, use a strictly controlled, pressurized heating process to extract the raw materials necessary to make fertilizer. EDF-based ingredients, or fish protein hydrolysates, are derived from a process that minces the whole fish, then enzymatically digests, then grinds and liquefies the resulting product.
While both forms provide acceptable performance, emulsion-based fertilizers are more concentrated and uniform than hydrolysate-based fertilizers for optimum performance.
Preparing Food Plots
Food plots management has been the fastest growing segment of the multi-billion dollar hunting industry. People are growing food plots for several reasons: as an alternative to baiting; to encourage increased antler development; increased herd development; year round foraging; improved nutrient and vitamin supplementation; reduce outbreaks of bovine tuberculosis; improved wildlife habitation and for people who just love to watch wildlife flourish.
Food plots can range in size from 100 square feet to dozens of acres. They are grown in every area of the country and in all types of soils. AGGRAND Natural Fertilizers
is the natural choice to start and maintain food plot management for years to come.
Water Scarcity
In some areas of the United States, water scarcity may place restrictions on lawn irrigation. Under these conditions, it is better to use low maintenance landscapes with drought- tolerant species that can withstand drought without any irrigation for extended periods. Be sure to tend to plant health by applying AGGRAND Natural Fertilizers to drought-tolerant species when the soil is moist and plants are actively growing.
Tweaking Your Tomatoes;
In order for your tomato plants to maintain peak production for as long as possible, keep them well-watered and fertilize once a month with AGGRAND. Use 3 oz/gal. Natural Fertilizer, 3 oz/gal Liquid Bonemeal, and 1 oz/gal Natural Kelp and Sulfate of Potash. If your tomatoes seem stressed, a foliar spray of 2 oz/gal of Natural Fertilizer and 1 oz/gal of Natural Kelp and Sulfate of Potash can be applied every other week to improve plant resistance.
Drought
The most difficult lawn care condition is drought. The trick to keeping grass healthy is to water it two or three times a week to keep roots and leaf tissue from hardening. Grass that has been kept watered may be fertilized every three or four weeks with a light application of AGGRAND Natural Fertilizer
(1qt/5,000-8,000 sq.ft). When applying AGGRAND fertilizer in the summer, follow these guidlines:
Keep grass watered
Never apply AGGRAND fertilizer to dry soil or during drought
Use at least eight gallons of water for every quart of AGGRAND fertilizer
Apply AGGRAND fertilizer before 10 am. or after 4 pm. during hot weather
If grass starts to go dormant, continue to water at least once a week. Discontinue AGGRAND fertilizer treatments until growth resumes.
Summer Lawn Care
Fertilizing grass in the spring with AGGRAND Natural Fertilizer
, Liquid Bonemeal and Natural Kelp and Sulfate of Potash stimulates root growth and systemic acquired resistance to stress conditions. As the season progresses into summer conditions, additional AGGRAND applications keep the grass healthy and stress tolerant. Once hot and dry conditions prevail, it is normal for growth to slow as the grass goes into a temporary dormancy.
During this period, irrigation is paramount to keep grass healthy, especially with less drought-tolerant species such as Kentucky bluegrass. When cooler weather conditions return in late summer or early fall, resume AGGRAND fertilization, dethatch, aerate and add topdress with compost. This is also the best time for overseeding.
Nitrogen Levels
AGGRAND Natural Fertilizers
increased nitrogen levels in the soil result in increased soil microbial populations and increased nutrient uptake in crops for healthier, more resilient plants. Proper sulfur levels provide high levels of protein in seed crops, forages and legumes, producing crops we prefer. Beneficial micro-organisms produce plant growth stimulants and can produce digestive enzymes that attack and kill undersirable fungal pathogens, resulting in larger, healthier plants.
Potassium enables efficient use of carbon, hydrogen and oxygen, regulates plant tissues and fluids and is a prime requirement in chlorophyll construction, resulting in more of the large, nutrient-rich plant.
Phosphorus is important in flower, seed and fruit development, essential for vigorous growth of plant reproductive parts and facilitates efficient energy storage and transfer. That means plants produce more seeds and fruit, providing more for us to eat and allowing plants to re-seed themselves for better established stands of vegetation.
