Prevents Metallic Corrosion

AMSOIL Antifreeze & Coolant adheres to metal. It self-seals hairline cracks in welds and seams to prevent leaks, without additional stop-leak products or fibrous materials. Independent tests reveal AMSOIL Antifreeze & Coolant surpassed standards for metallic corrosion. It plates metal to protect even when exposed to acids and salt spray.

Standard allowances for loss in aluminum and solder are less than 60 mg. AMSOIL Antifreeze & Coolant lost 0 mg in aluminum and less than 6mg in solder.

Standards for iron, steel, copper and brass allow a maximum loss of less than 20 mg. AMSOIL Antifreeze & Coolant never exceeded a 3 mg loss in any of those metals in a testing period that was run for 10 weeks, three weeks longer than required tests.

Advance Soot and Wear Control

AMSOIL Synthetic Heavy Duty Diesel & Marine Motor Oil is heavily fortified with detergent/dispersant additives and is naturally resistant to soot. It is designed to keep soot particles suspended independently and prevent them from attaching together to form larger, wear-causing particles. Viscosity increase is minimized and soot-related wear is controlled.

AMSOIL Diesel & Marine Oil has lower volatility (evaporation) than conventional petroleum oils. Because less oil vapor passes in to the combustion chamber, oil consumption and emissions are reduced. Lower volatility helps AMSOIL 15w-40 Diesel Oil retain its viscosity after high-temperature service for excellent fuel economy and continued dependable protection.

HD Diesel Oil

AMSOIL Synthetic Heavy Duty Diesel & Marine Motor Oil (AME) is a premium diesel oil providing excellent performance in all types of diesel engines where highly effective control of wear and deposits is vital. Built with heavy-duty dispersant/detergent additives, its 12 (TBN) total base number, chemistry neutralizes acids and controls soot thickening from EGR and blow-by to protect against corrosion, cylinder bore polishing (wear) and varnish/sludge deposits.

AMSOIL, 15w-40 Diesel Oil resists heat and breakdown better than conventional petroleum oils for long-lasting performance and protection.AMSOIL AME remains fluid down to -44f.

Corrosion Test

The Aluminum Corrosion Test measures the corrosion protection properties of Dominator Coolant Boost in modern automobile and high-performance race engines with aluminum cylinder heads. A cast aluminum puck was heated to 275f at 28PSI and exposed to the test coolant mixture for one week. Weight loss of less than 1.0 mg is required to pass the test.

Straight water had a weight loss of 3.97 mg/cm2/wk, Water with AMSOIL Coolant Boost had a weight loss of 0.14 mg/cm2/wk. Test results show water treated with Coolant Boost easily passed the Aluminum Corrosion Test.
