In order to test the performance capabilities of AMSOIL Diesel Recovery, AMSOIL commissioned an independent laboratory to perform an evaluation. Three types of diesel fuel were used in the testing , including ultra-low-sulfur diesel (ULSD), B2 biodiesel and B5 biodiesel. Three samples of each fuel-type were tested: one treated with AMSOIL Diesel Recovery, one treated with Power Service Diesel 911 and one untreated sample. Diesel Recovery was adminstered at the recommended treat rate of 30.oz per 30 gallons of fuel. The treat rate for Diesel 911 varies according to package size; Power Service maximum recommended dosage of 32.oz per 30 gallons of fuel was used in this evaluation.

Results of the diesel fuel additivesdrc, AMSOIL Diesel Recovery delivers superior performance. In ULSD, Diesel Recovery reduced the fuel’s pour point by 27C and the cold filter-plugging point (CFPP) by 17C. Diesel 911, on the other hand, only reduced the pour point of ULSD by 10.5C and actually increased the fuel’s CFPP by .5C.

In B2 biodiesel, AMSOIL Diesel Recovery reduced the fuel’s pour point 9C and reduced the CFPP 19.75C; while Diesel 911 increased the fuel’s pour point 5.25C and reduced the CFPP only 6C. Diesel Recovery reduced the pour point of B5 biodiesel 24C and reduced the CFPP 16C. Diesel 911 reduced the pour point of B5 18C and again increased the CFPP 1.75C.
