Organic Fertilizer that Promotes Healthy Roots
When shopping around for an effective fertilizer that will take your garden to the next level, take a look at the chemical compounds listed on the bag or bottle. Nitrogen, phosphorous and potassium are the triumvirate of ingredients that should be present in abundance. In the case of bonemeal, potassium might not be present but its absence is made up for by the prevalence of nitrogen and especially phosphorous.
As you might guess just judging by its name, bone meal is an organic fertilizer made from finely ground bones. Pour some of the liquid into a newly dug hole in the garden, then plant blooming bulbs. Repeat this process for each individual hole, and be sure to mix the dirt so that the phosphorous is allowed to blend with the surrounding terrain. This fertilizer promotes root growth, so it can work wonders on carrots and potatoes.
